For sale is this painting on board by New Zealand artist Dulcie Gillespie-Needham titled WOMAN IN PINK HAT. I believe Gillespie-Needham taught art in Levin and that she also taught in Palmerston North as an English teacher. From what I understand she did not sell her work so there is very little information out there about her which is a shame considering she was clearly a very talented artist. This painting came from her studio in about 2017.  The painting is in nice condition with minor chipping and wear to the frame which can easily be touched up. Including the frame it is 82.5cm x 63cm across. The actual painting is 76cm x 56.3cm across.

She is recorded as working as an artist in 1950's, I have some of her works in my collection dating from about the 1950-60s to early 1980s. This work was originally from the same collection, and I have just acquired it.

Her work has also been on New Zealand House and Garden, these works originally came from this same collection too.
